Sustainable is Best

We are committed to working towards a greener future and where possible limiting the amount of waste we produce to put into landfills.

We are committed to getting rid of single use plastics in our restaurant and Guesthouse. We use fully compostable coffee cups and offer discount off on reusable coffee cups. We have moved from standard plastic cutlery to bio-degradable cutlery and napkins, we don’t use plastic straws anymore in our takeaway or restaurant and working towards having all of our packaging bio-degradable or recyclable. We are working towards removing all single use plastics from our toiletries range in our guesthouse.

Our Suppliers

We work closely with our fish supplier Kish Fish, a family run business since 1966, in sourcing sustainable fish where possible while maintaining a high standard of quality fish. We have a long standing history with our fish supplier for over 44 years working together and they have always delivered us the freshest catch of the day straight off the boats in Howth Harbour.

All of our meat and chicken are locally sourced from the highest quality butchers and local farmers. Working together to bring you the freshest and the tastiest meat and chicken daily.

Our pork sausages, black and white pudding comes from Mayo, home to Cathy and to the Artisan butchers Kelly’s of Newport. Kelly’s is an award winning family business.

Farm to Fork

The Humble Spud:
In Ireland we would be renowned for growing potatoes all across the east coast. We source our potatoes from our family farm as much as we are able to produce, when the yields run out in winter, we then must source potatoes from only the best suppliers. All of our potatoes are prepared in house. We clean, wash, peel and chip our potatoes every day to give you the best proper chips. No nasty additives here!

We cook our chips in a mix of blended Palm oil and our proper chips are suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.
